About Us

Who are these people and where did they come from?

Oscar Aguilar is chef and partners with his wife Barbara. They moved to Fayetteville from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in August 2008 to open DiOGi’s Mexican Grill and Cantina. For 12 years, Barbara owned and operated El Azteca Mexican Restaurant in Philadelphia. Oscar is from El Salvador, and Barbara is from the big city of Hinton, West Virginia.

It means “DOG “ and we chose the name In honor of our girls: Liberty our Irish Setter, Lucy our Olde English Sheepdog, Lola our Yorkshire Terrier, and Lexi our Silky Terrier, who all happily reside with us here in the “coolest small town “ of Fayetteville.
